Pommery Cuvee Louise 2005 in Gift Box - Edition Parcelle

2005 was a brilliant year with all the ingredients for making stellar wine – so it’s no surprise that it was awarded 97 points by renowned critic James Suckling.

Cuvée Louise 2005 is a blend of 65% Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Noir. The grapes come from the Grands Crus of Avize, Cramant and Aÿ, widely thought of as the best villages in the Champagne region. With that incredible provenance, the result is a generous and compelling wine with notes of crème brulee, peach, ripe citrus, spiced gingerbread, honey, walnut, quince, buttery hazelnut, brioche and white flowers. A laser-like acidity keeps all that richness and complexity zipped up tight. 

First created in 1979 to celebrate the house’s exceptional winemaking heritage, Cuvée Louise is made with grapes from three Grand Cru villages: Ay, Avize and Cramant – so you can expect quality in every sip. It’s left to age gracefully for over a decade in Maison Pommery’s cellars, where it slowly builds texture and complexity.
