Emilio Moro Malleolus | Ribera del Duero | Fulham Wine Co. – The Fulham Wine Company

Emilio Moro

For three generations, the Moro family has shunned the rigid rules of the region in favor of what the land dictates. While others were obsessed with traditional aging classifications (Crianza, Reserva), Emilio Moro focused entirely on the "personality" of each vintage and vineyard. They work with their own unique clone of Tinto Fino - recovered from their oldest vines - which produces smaller berries and looser bunches. The result is a style that is unmistakably Moro: intense, pure, and fruit-forward, often eschewing heavy American oak for the elegance of French wood to let the terroir speak clearly.

Ribera del Duero

Ribera del Duero is a place of extremes. Situated on the high plateau of Castile and León, the vineyards here are subjected to scorching summers and biting winters - a climate the locals describe as "nine months of winter, three months of hell." This dramatic temperature shift is the region's secret weapon, thickening the skins of the Tempranillo (known here as Tinto Fino) to produce wines of immense concentration, dark fruit, and brooding structure. Once a quiet stretch of the Duero river known only for Vega Sicilia, it is now the undisputed heartland of modern Spanish luxury wine.
