Dom Pérignon is made only in years the house judges worthy of its name - and it skipped 2014, 2016 and others entirely rather than compromise. The 2017 is one of the rarest it has ever released: a notoriously difficult year that yielded only a tiny volume, roughly a few months' worth of sales against a normal vintage's run.

It's also among the most Chardonnay-led Dom Pérignons ever made - around 62% Chardonnay to 38% Pinot Noir - which gives the 2017 its richness and chalky, citrus-driven core, carried by the smoky, toasted complexity that's the house signature. Aged seven years before release, it's a singular bottle from a singular year.
