The collaboration between Bollinger and Bond began in 1979 with Moonraker, though Bollinger was first referenced in Ian Fleming’s 1956 novel Diamonds Are Forever. The Champagne itself remains Bollinger’s beloved Special Cuvée – rich and complex with signature notes of toasted brioche, ripe apple and hazelnut, reflecting Bollinger’s mastery of Pinot Noir and long cellar ageing.
