Veuve Clicquot Rosé Champagne Gift Box
In 1818, Madame Clicquot did something no one had done before: rather than tint white Champagne with elderberries, as was the practice, she blended still red wine into her own. The result was the first known blended rosé Champagne, and the method every house uses today.
The wine itself starts from the Yellow Label blend - Pinot Noir for structure, Chardonnay for finesse, a little Meunier - drawn from 50 to 60 crus with up to 45% reserve wines, then completed with around 12% still red wine. That last part is where the colour and the depth come from. Expect red and black fruit - cherry, strawberry, raspberry - with biscuit and toast notes from time on the lees.
Presented in your choice of white or black gift box and hand-tied with our ribbon.
