Arboleda Cabernet Sauvignon, Aconcagua Valley (2022)
The 2022 Vintage
Arboleda was founded by Eduardo Chadwick - the visionary behind some of Chile's most legendary wines - with a clear mission: to capture the purest expression of the Aconcagua Valley. The estate is named for the native forests that surround their sustainably managed vineyards, a natural border that helps preserve the region's unique biodiversity.
Sourced from the Las Vertientes vineyard in the mid-coastal mountain range, the fruit benefits from a cooling influence provided by the Pacific Ocean. This allows the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to ripen slowly, building deep, concentrated flavours while retaining a remarkable sense of freshness. The winemaking is precise, involving a 14-month aging period in French oak barrels to soften the tannins and add a sophisticated layer of cedar and spice without overwhelming the fruit.
The result is a wine of profound clarity and balance. It delivers an expressive profile of dark cherry, blackberry, and cassis, underpinned by elegant notes of tobacco leaf, mint, and chocolate. This is a benchmark Chilean Cabernet - intelligent, structured, and polished - offering a level of finesse and world-class pedigree that far exceeds its price point.
