The Pisoni name is one of the most revered in Californian wine. Known for producing some of the finest Pinot Noir in the United States, this family-run vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands has built a reputation for obsessive vineyard care, small production, and wines of incredible depth and precision. 

Their estate Pinot Noir is their flagship – grown, made and bottled entirely on their home site, using grapes from just a few select blocks planted in the early 1980s. Spread across hand-farmed granite soils and meticulously managed in small-block plots, this family project remains true to its identity: a single, estate-grown Pinot bottled only in exceptional vintages. 

The 2019 release is intensely expressive, with aromas of dark cherry, forest herbs and baking spice, followed by layers of plum, blood orange, clove and earthy minerality. It’s a wine that balances richness and structure with beautiful freshness and fine, chalky tannins – the kind of depth and finesse that explains why Pisoni is considered one of California’s most iconic and very best Pinot producers.
