Clase Azul Ahumado Blanco is the newest jewel in the Clase Azul family – a tequila that pushes boundaries while staying rooted in Mexican heritage and craftsmanship. Crafted from slow-cooked 100% Blue Weber Agave, it revives the ancestral method of cooking agave in pit ovens lined with volcanic stone and firewood. This process imparts a gentle smokiness that enhances, rather than masks, the agave’s natural sweetness and minerality, creating a tequila that is both contemporary and timeless.
On the palate, it offers bright citrus, fresh herbs and roasted agave layered with delicate smoke, red apple and plum. The silky texture and refined finish make it a stunning sipping tequila, while its elegance allows it to shine in carefully crafted cocktails.
Just as with every Clase Azul expression, the artistry extends to the decanter itself – a ceramic piece with a textured volcanic base and semi-opaque glass, echoing the smoky character of the spirit. Each one is handcrafted and hand-painted by Mexican artisans, making every bottle a unique work of art.
Ahumado Blanco is a symbol of innovation within tradition – a rare and limited release currently under allocation worldwide. It’s a tequila that not only reflects the earth and fire of its creation, but also celebrates the artistry and culture of Mexico in every detail.
Why You Need To Try It
-
New & Exclusive – This is one of Clase Azul’s latest innovations, and it’s under allocation globally — limited numbers available.
-
Heritage Meets Innovation – While many blancos are unaged and fresh, this tequila revives ancestral pit-oven cooking methods to introduce a delicate smokiness, capturing the fire’s imprint without overwhelming the agave.
-
Artistic Presentation – The decanter is designed to reflect the process: textured ceramic base reminiscent of volcanic stone, semi-opaque glass referencing smoke, and copper details echoing distillation methods.
-
Crossover Appeal – Perfect as a sipping blanco with flair, or to bring smoky nuance to premium cocktails (especially where you want smoke without heavy barrel influence).
