Bollinger Special Cuvée Champagne - with Bollinger Flutes and Gift Box
Special Cuvée is the Champagne most people mean when they say Bollinger - the house's flagship and the purest expression of its Pinot Noir-led style. Partly fermented in oak and built with a high proportion of reserve wines, it has the structure, depth and creamy mousse that set Bollinger apart from lighter, crisper houses: ripe orchard fruit, toasted brioche and a long, spiced finish.
The name dates to 1911, when Bollinger's British agent suggested "Special Cuvée" - "special" spelled the English way, without an accent - feeling the French "Brut sans année" undersold the wine. More than a century on, it's still the name on the house's key Champagne.
The set pairs the bottle with two Bollinger-branded flutes in the house's own gift box: the definitive Bollinger, the right glasses to drink it from, and nothing else to find or buy - ready to open and toast.
