Bollinger PN AYC21 Champagne - with Bollinger Flutes and Gift Box

PN AYC21 is the seventh edition in Bollinger's PN series - a run of Blanc de Noirs Champagnes made entirely from Pinot Noir, each built around a single village. This one belongs to Aÿ, the Grand Cru the house has been based in since 1829, with Premier Cru fruit from Tauxières and Mutigny alongside it. Half the base was fermented in old oak barrels, which add no flavour but let in a trace of air and build texture, and half in steel, which holds the fruit bright. Three years on the lees, more than twice what the appellation asks, gives it the brioche depth and the fine, creamy mousse.

The set pairs the bottle with two Bollinger-branded flutes, presented in the house's own gift box. It's a complete, self-contained gift: the serious Champagne, the right glasses to drink it from, and nothing else to find or buy.

That makes it an easy one to give for a moment that deserves a proper toast - everything the recipient needs to open, pour and mark the occasion, all in one box.
