Champagne Autreau Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut NV - 75cl

Autréau is a grower house in Champillon, family-run since 1670, farming 33.5 hectares across the Premier and Grand Cru villages of Champagne. This Blanc de Blancs comes entirely from their Grand Cru holding at Chouilly, one of the great Chardonnay villages of the Côte des Blancs - so the fruit carries genuine Grand Cru pedigree, not just the name.

100% Chardonnay, hand-picked, vinified in stainless steel and aged three years on its lees before release. That long lees ageing is what gives the wine its depth and creamy texture, while the steel-only winemaking keeps the Chardonnay's citrus and mineral lift intact.

Look for ripe lemon and white flowers, a fine and persistent bead, and a creamy, biscuity note from the lees over a taut, mineral core. Precise and fresh rather than weighty - the elegant end of Champagne. Serve well chilled, around 9°C.
