Tenuta Tignanello completely revolutionized Italian winemaking in the 1970s, creating the very first Super Tuscan by boldly blending Sangiovese with Bordeaux varietals and aging it in small oak barriques. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the 2021 vintage stands as a modern monument to this visionary estate, capturing the absolute pinnacle of their limestone-rich, high-altitude vineyards.

The cellar philosophy continues to push the boundaries of elegance and precision. Following a meticulous hand-sorting process, the Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc are fermented individually in truncated conical tanks to maximize extraction while preserving delicate aromas. The varietals are then transferred to a precise combination of new French and Hungarian oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and 15 months of aging, a masterful maturation process that builds an incredibly sophisticated, seamless architectural framework before final blending.
