The Fulham Wine Co Take

This wine proves exactly why Margaret River is considered a global benchmark for Bordeaux-style blends. It pairs the structured, savory grip of top-tier Cabernet with the deep, layered dark fruit unique to Western Australia. A sophisticated, commanding choice for any serious table.

Woodlands

Established in 1973 by David and Heather Watson, Woodlands is one of the founding five pioneer vineyards of Margaret River. Located in the prestigious Wilyabrup Valley, this family-owned estate is deeply committed to dry-farming and organic viticulture. Their original, unirrigated plantings produce exceptionally low yields of intensely concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon and elegant, precision-driven Bordeaux blends. By honoring the region's ancient ironstone soils and cooling maritime climate, Woodlands crafts powerfully structured, cellar-worthy masterpieces that beautifully balance raw Australian fruit intensity with refined, Old World sophistication.

Margaret River

Perched on the isolated, rugged coastline of Western Australia, Margaret River is a viticultural oasis bordered by two oceans. This unique maritime climate, combined with some of the oldest ironstone soils on Earth, produces Australia’s most elegant and age-worthy wines. Though it accounts for a tiny fraction of the country's output, it is the undisputed champion of premium Australian Cabernet Sauvignon and precision Chardonnay. The cooling sea breezes ensure a slow, even ripening, resulting in world-class wines that balance New World fruit intensity with true Old World structure and grace.
